Aviva: Our best ever critical illness cover for your clients
At Aviva, we believe in putting your clients first. We’re proud of our track record of only making changes to our critical illness cover that are in your client’s best interests.
We were one of the first providers to offer an ABI+ definition for multiple sclerosis by dropping the period for symptoms from six to three months. We also added additional critical illness benefits for carcinoma in situ of the breast and low grade prostate cancer in 2011, both of which remain market leading.
• new conditions with additional benefits
• five definitions upgraded to ABI+
• ABI+ definitions for the top four conditions
• up to £25,000 critical illness cover per child per policy
To help make the illnesses covered under the policy clearer, we’ve also separated out some of the conditions previously included within our total permanent disability definition.
An exceptional claims record
If your clients have to claim on their critical illness plan, they’ll be going through a difficult time. The last thing they need is extra stress. Instead, they need to know that their critical illness provider has a strong history of paying out claims. Our claims record speaks for itself.
In 2011, we paid 94.1% of critical illness claims. This is the highest percentage of critical illness claims paid by any provider when you compare it to results published across the insurance industry. We also declined the lowest percentage of claims for non disclosure, compared to the same results.
Online claims
To help make claiming as easy as possible during a difficult time, we launched our
online claims site in December 2011.
Your clients can choose to submit their claims online at any time rather than using a paper form or calling the helpline. Since the site launched, more than 240 customers have claimed this way.
Better cover than ever before
With 48 conditions covered, 17 of which have ABI+ definitions, and a claims record second to none, Aviva really is leading the way in critical illness cover.
When you’re looking for a comprehensive critical illness plan for your client, at a price that represents real value for money, take another look at Aviva.
