Legal & General: Record CIC claims payout in 2011

We’ve just published our latest critical illness cover claims figures. £177 million was paid to 2,784 people. That’s an average of seven times a day that we give somebody new hope for the future.

Last year the average age of claimants was 43, and the average claim payout was £63,573.

We're in the business of paying claims and since 2003 we've paid over a billion in critical illness cover claims.
