Ageas Protect to launch product labelling pilot
It’s easy to judge whether the food you’re buying meets your major nutritional needs – it tells you clearly, simply and effectively on the packet. Why should financial protection products be any different?
It's important for clients to recognise the gaps left in their cover when they only buy term assurance, but it can often be a tough task to get them to do so.
That’s why Ageas Protect are launching product labelling – to help you show your clients their major financial protection needs and whether different products address them.
Andy Milburn - Head of Marketing at Ageas Protect - says “Food labelling works. If you apply the same thinking to protection products, we can use it to show the potential needs that the customer hasn’t mitigated, as well as using it to show the most urgent needs that the customer has covered with their policy”.
Simply replace calories, salt, saturates and sugars with Death, Terminal Illness, Specified Critical Illness, Long Term Sickness, Total and Permanent Disability and Unemployment.
Following positive adviser feedback, Ageas Protect will be piloting the initiative on our Key Facts documents from November throughout the rest of 2011.
