Do Britons need to take a Reality check? - Our latest research says they do.

'40% of people questioned think it is unlikely that they will suffer an illness that means they will be off work for six months or more during their lifetime.'*

This is the latest finding from our research on the existence of Britain's financial safety net. When questioned to what extent people in Britain believe they are at risk of having to take time off from work due to long-term illness, 40% said it is unlikely. It is a worryingly optimistic view when compared to the reality of suffering a critical illness or disability.
