Is Adviser Sentiment Turning a Corner?
UK IA Sector Net Flows: February – July 2025
Advisers may be edging back towards confidence, with fresh flows showing a mix of caution and renewed appetite for risk.
Panacea’s analysis of Finscape data (Feb–Jul 2025) reveals:
- Total flows: +£6.91bn net inflows across all IA sectors.
- Mixed growth: 31 sectors gained, 28 declined — signalling uneven sentiment.
- Leaders: Global (+15.7%), North America (+9.9%) and Short-Term Money Market (+7.6%).
- Defensive tilt: UK Gilts drew £432m, underlining ongoing demand for safer assets.
- UK equities out of favour: UK All Companies (−13.8%) and UK Equity Income (−4.7%) saw notable outflows.
- Momentum shift: April marked the low point (£699m inflows), but July hit the year’s high (£1.6bn).
The picture is still nuanced, but July’s rebound suggests adviser sentiment may be turning a corner.
