SRI Services & Fund EcoMarket news update

My last newsletter was rather on the long side, so I will keep today's message shorter (three items only) - so that you don't think it is becoming a habit!

The first item is regarding  the FCAs 'Sustainability and Disclosure Requirements (SDR) and investment labels' discussion paper - which closed on 7 January.

Our submission was pretty lengthy as we wanted to offer context rather than simple binary responses... although I could have said a great deal more!

Their paper, our response to it and an 'exec summary' of my main comments here.

But in brief - this is going to be really important for UK investors large and small.

I think the FCA still has work to do (as is the purpose of a 'discussion paper'!) - and fear they may currently feel like they are trying to herd cats - but I am very comfortable their aims and intentions are good.
