Royal London: Now's the time to reinforce your client relationships

You may well be aware of the content we’ve produced recently to help advisers when working remotely. This include hints, tips and some of our online solutions.

Research now tells us that advisers, specifically mortgage brokers, are becoming more comfortable working from home but now need help finding alternative opportunities whilst the mortgage market has slowed. Based on this information, we’ve created toolkits for three key segments we think need the more attention now, and in the future. These are; mortgage customers with no protection, customers with mortgage protection only and customers who are due a protection review.

We’ve broken the toolkits into a further three useful steps:

  • Audio clip – an introduction to get the adviser started with this segment
  • Customer facing paragraphs – Customised wording to help the adviser reach out to the client
  • Three items that will help with this customer segment e.g. tools, sales aids, blogs.

You’ll find the full support at adviser.royallondon.com/conversations and I have attached a copy of the launch email for your reference.

The hope is these simple toolkits will help your advisers keep their business on track, deliver good customer outcomes but also show the real value of their advice by making proactive contact and offering reassurance and support.

Client Centred Advisers: Helping clients stop living in life’s waiting room

One of the most common assumptions people make is this: “I’ll be happy when…” I’ll be happy when I can retire. I’ll be happy when the mortgage is paid off. I’ll be happy when I have enough money. I’ll be happy when I can work less. I’ll be happy when I’ve achieved financial freedom. At first glance, these seem like perfectly reasonable goals. In fact, many of them are exactly the kinds of goals financial planners help clients work towards every day.
