Budget analysis from Prudential
|
I think I'll call this one the Banter Budget! Philip Hammond got to his feet and delivered what, I thought, were a few decent one liners through the course of the speech. Whilst I had a little chuckle on the way through I wasn’t chuckling at the end. It’s quite hard to do a review of the Budget and its impact on financial planning when there was nothing much in the speech. But as is often the case the 'red book' and other Budget documents that appear after the speech come to the rescue with some things of interest. Seems like everyone has wanted pensions left alone for what seems like the last ten Budgets and finally we have it, nothing of note. Hopefully this is a sign of things to come and will help to increase understanding of, and confidence in, pension planning. |
Various things of note in the tax and trust world too and thats most of the content you'll find in our analysis which you can access below.
