Prudential: Trust planning webex reminder

There’s still time to register to join Prudential’s Trust Planning webex event on 29 June 2017, to help you identify new planning opportunities with your clients. 9am - Investment considerations for trustees

Liz Hardie, Technical Specialist explores investment considerations for trustees, the standard investment criteria and requirements for trustees to take financial advice.

11am - The 'what' of trusts (Part one)

Helen O'Hagan, Technical Manager cuts through the complexity of standard insurance company trusts. She'll cover why to use a particular trust, how to set it up and taxation implications.

1pm – Pensions and Trusts

Mark Devlin, Technical Manager explores how types of pensions can pay to trusts, such as a Spousal Bypass Trust and the tax implications, opportunities for trust planning with pensions.

2pm – The Residence Nil Rate Band

Graeme Robb, Senior Technical Manager, examines how trusts impact on RNRB availability, and planning thoughts regarding the £2 million taper. 

3.30pm - The 'what' of trusts (Part two)

Helen covers why to use a Discounted Gift Trust (DGT), how to set it up, taxation implications and compares Prudential's two DGTs.
