Aviva: Pension freedoms: what do clients think?
How clients have reacted to greater access to their savings.
Since George Osborne stood up in the House of Commons on 19th March 2014 to announce the most fundamental reform to the way people can access their pension in almost a century, our industry has been talking about it, for what seems like a century.
Our profession has contemplated the future for annuities, analysed a range of retirement income strategies and invested time and money into new products. It certainly seems to have set our world on fire.
Retirement income choices have become increasingly complex compared to the government’s seemingly simple aim: to give people much greater freedom over how they access their pension savings.
We understand the reforms, but what do clients think?
