Panacea & GDPR

When Panacea started in 2006 it was done so to bridge the gap between provider firms and directly authorised advisers who had lost contact along the way.

From the outset, anyone that registers to become part of the community via the Panacea website has to agree to terms and conditions that we share their data with our partners when relevant.

This consent is always time and date stamped and is also highlighted again in their sign-up email, with the option to opt-out.

1. Direct Registrations

Advisers that register directly via the Panacea website have to agree to our Privacy Policy. This includes a section on 'Who will it be shared with?' and a link to our partner firms, who have a supporting relationship with the Panacea community.

2. Autus Data Services

We also work with Autus Data Services who provide details of any new advisers to the industry on a quarterly basis. Autus get their data from the FCA’s database using an API.

Any new RIs then receive an email from Panacea inviting them to become a ‘Community Member’ or to 'Opt Out’ via My Preferences page to ensure GDPR compliance.

Panacea’s Introductory Email to new Registered Individuals (RIs) can be seen using the button below, which details the benefits of belonging to the Community and how Panacea’s data will be used with Partner Providers and this is how consent is confirmed.

3. Finscape

The Panacea database is also mapped against monthly business flow data, supplied to us by Finscape. We use this data for data to analyse and target by business volumes and activity.

The effect of this is that Panacea holds contact data below firm level, right down to an adviser level, that it can share with supporting firms.

Summary

To summarise, this is GDPR-consented data and we are able to share this with our partner provider firms to take advantage of this enhanced data in a way that is not available elsewhere in a way that is one hundred percent compliant.
