June Matters
It was impossible to speak of June ‘16 and not reference the referendum as the whole country was very much focused on Brexit. Despite last minute attempts by Germany to woo a UK ‘stay vote’ with some very tempting offers, we have voted to leave.
The markets are now looking at doing their job of making money with fresh vigour as Brexit presents an opportunity as well as a threat.
With David Cameron stepping down and general elections in Germany and France in 2017 plus the US Presidential elections this coming November. There will no doubt be some turbulent times ahead but we will remain positive and focused on doing what we have always done, communicating various changes in market conditions to advisers and helping them make the most out of their businesses.
This started in June with the launch of our free HR Guide for Financial Adviser firms. An advice firm’s staff are one of a company's best assets and when they receive the best possible treatment, a business is more likely to succeed. We were a runner up for Best Support Service at the Money Marketing Awards 2016 which given our size versus the competition we were delighted with! We were also thrilled to learn that we had won Best Online Support for Financial Advisers – UK at 2016 Wealth & Money Management Awards.
Survey
In June we launched our Summer Sentiment survey. This is currently still running and results should hopefully be published in next month’s report.
