Sri Services: Integrating sustainable, responsible and ethical investment into the advice process
Last week saw Julia Dreblow of sriServices present to PFS members as part of the Insurance Institute of London’s* lunchtime seminar series, discussing how and why advisers can and should discuss this area with their clients.
The lecture included an overview of the diversity of fund options that are available today, the ‘SRI Styles’ segmentation model - that makes it easier for advisers to identity ‘key SRI features’ (as used by the Fund EcoMarket tool); fact finding options and audit trail recommendations.
The event highlighted the fact that this area continues to grow as an opportunity for financial advisers... but remains largely untapped.
Indeed, although 2015 saw the highest ever level of retail ethical fund sales (source: IA) this remains in the region of 1.2% of total sales which is clearly out of line with public interest as demonstrated in other related areas.
Panacea Adviser users can download event slides, a podcast and the accompanying literature via the sriServices adviser support site here.
If you would like sriServices to run a similar event for your organisation – or to talk about how the free www.FundEcoMarket.co.uk adviser resource works please contact Julia@sriServices.co.uk .
