Aviva Financial Planning Bulletin: Budget 2016 briefing - News Item
Yesterday’s Budget was the second from the Conservative government in less than a year.
With only 98 days until the UK votes to remain or leave the European Union, the referendum on Thursday 23 June weighed heavily on what was Chancellor George Osborne’s eighth Budget speech.
Mr Osborne delivered a few surprises for savers, including:
- A new, innovative Lifetime ISA from April 2017 for adults under the age of 40.
- An increase in the ISA allowance from £15,240 to £20,000 in April 2017.
So how will yesterday’s announcements affect you, your clients and your business?
